Edmodo Partners With SINADEP To Bring Mexican Educators Together

Partnership Announced at Bett Latin America Leadership Summit

MEXICO CITY--()--Edmodo, the global education network connecting more than 57 million teachers, students and parents worldwide, today announced at Bett Latin America Leadership Summit, a partnership with SINADEP- SNTE, the leading teacher’s union in Mexico, to centralize communication and collaboration among SINADEP- SNTE teacher members.

“With our teachers located all over the country, we had no way of connecting with them at scale,” said Jorge Antonio Alfaro Rivera, Pedagogical Coordinator at SINADEP. “We decided to invest in forward-looking solutions, and with a large majority of our teachers already having a presence on Edmodo, it made sense for us to create an established presence on the platform that could serve as a central hub for our network.”

Edmodo’s premium offering, Edmodo for Organizations, is designed specifically for educational organizations, and serves as a way to connect organizations to educators. The community empowers teachers and school leaders to interact with institutions and discover opportunities for professional and educational advancement. SINADEP-SNTE has over 1,400,000 members, and the premium community enables centralized communication, insights, and professional development, in addition to administrative oversight and educator collaboration with other teachers, not only in Mexico, but in the rest of the world.

“Historically, organizations have not had a central role on the Edmodo platform,” said Heath Silverman, head of international business at Edmodo. “We see great value in integrating educational organizations into the Edmodo ecosystem so our educators can gain exposure to relevant opportunities, resources and people. There are many institutions doing amazing things to help teachers, such as SINADEP-SNTE, and we’re excited to continue bringing educators new ways to expand their horizons and contribute to their professional development.”

Edmodo provides organizations with the ability to easily centralize communication, personalize professional development, and engage their community of educators. In addition to a branded landing page, this package includes features for organizations to effortlessly communicate and distribute resources across their entire community, create break-off groups for more personalized instruction and communication, and review actionable insights on their members’ use of the platform. Easily accessible from within teacher accounts, members of an organization get to reap the benefits of a centralized hub for communication embedded into the Edmodo platform they already know. After discovering a new teaching method or accessing a great resource from the organization, teachers can use it directly with their students in just a couple clicks and easily share their learnings as best practices.
