SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--StubHub, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, today announced two executive appointments; Jennifer Betka Chief Marketing Officer and Estanis Martín de Nicolás as the International General Manager.
“This is a transformative time at StubHub, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to add seasoned business leaders Jennifer and Estanis to our executive team,” said Scott Cutler, President of StubHub. “Jennifer is a marketing industry veteran with a track record of building consumer brands, where she’s grown audience and revenue through content creation and immersive digital experiences. As we evolve our business to provide a more end-to-end experience for our customers, Jennifer’s integrated marketing expertise is critical to build on the connection we have with our existing fans, reach new ones and ultimately, build a truly global brand.”
These two executive appointments are Cutler’s first since taking the helm at StubHub in May of this year, and come on the heels of the company’s latest business evolution, including aggressive growth plans, international expansion, continued innovation within mobile and overall, a company-wide effort to move beyond ticketing to help people fill their free time with a more personalized and seamless mobile live entertainment experience.
Betka, formerly a senior vice president at Wikia, is tapped to oversee StubHub’s global marketing organization. Her team will build its marketing efforts around StubHub’s commitment to deliver a more personalized experience to users, and ultimately, moves beyond being purely a transactional company into a more end-to-end platform.
Betka’s appointment is complemented by new International General Manager Estanis Martín de Nicolás, who joins StubHub from PayPal, where he served as the GM for PayPal Spain and Portugal since 2009.
“I am pleased that Estanis has joined StubHub at a key time for our expansion in international markets,” said Cutler. “Following the success we have seen introducing StubHub to the UK, our launch in Germany this month delivers our first non-English language site with dedicated customer service for the German market. Estanis will lead us as we bring the trusted StubHub experience to fans in new markets.”
Both Betka and Martín de Nicolás begin their respective StubHub appointments immediately.
