CEP America Joins Health Care Transformation Task Force

Alliance of Private Sector Leaders Spearheading Adoption of Value-Based Payment Models

EMERYVILLE, Calif.--()--The Health Care Transformation Task Force, a partnership of leading health care payers, providers, purchasers and patient organizations, announced today that CEP America has joined its membership.

CEP America is a national leader in delivering solutions that help hospitals enhance patient care and efficiency, from the emergency department through the hospital and onto the post-acute care setting.

The Task Force is an industry consortium that brings together patients, payers, providers and purchasers to align private and public sector efforts to clear the way for a sweeping transformation of the U.S. health care system. By developing and disseminating strategy, operational and policy recommendations, it seeks to spark rapid, measurable change across the health care landscape. Its members are committed to having 75 percent of their respective businesses operating under value-based payment arrangements by 2020.

“CEP America is honored to join the Task Force as an integral partner in advancing value-based health care,” said Wesley A. Curry, MD, Chief Executive Officer/President, CEP America. “Our physician leaders serve as the innovative, integrated partners that hospitals need today to meet both performance and payment goals and to engage in population health. As members of the Task Force, we will share this expertise and collaborate with other national leaders in the shift to value-based care, for the benefit of patients, hospitals, healthcare professionals, and our country’s health and economy.”

“We welcome CEP America as an important partner in the Task Force’s work to accelerate the transformation of the U.S. health care system,” said Richard J. Gilfillan, MD, CEO and president of Trinity Health and the Task Force’s chairman. “There is a vital need for the people who receive, give and pay for care to work cooperatively to accelerate our efforts to improve the cost and quality of care. We value the commitment and experience that CEP America and its unique physician-owned model brings to our effort.”
