GARDEN GROVE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Southland Industries, one of the nation's largest MEP building systems experts providing engineering, construction, service, and energy service solutions, recently selected Linda Smart as Vice President of Information Technology.
Bringing over 25 years of experience in comprehensive management and application development, Ms. Smart has a thorough understanding of information technology. In her new role, Ms. Smart will drive Southland’s information technology department initiatives to support the company’s strategic goals across all business lines.

Ms. Smart earned her bachelor’s degree in information and computer science as well as biological science from the University of California, Irvine and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Fullerton. Most recently, she served as the senior director of information systems of a major pharmaceutical manufacturer where she managed all information technology requests for the research and development group, including infrastructure, applications, and budgeting.
