PharmaJet® Needle-Free Injector Becomes Part of the American Pharmacists Association Educational Curriculum

Needle-free Injector added to Pharmacist Injection Certification Program

GOLDEN, Colo.--()--The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) has added PharmaJet’s needle-free injection tutorial to their educational curriculum. Posted in early July, the video provides instructions for intramuscular vaccine administration, and is part of: “Patient Care Considerations for Immunizing Pharmacists” in the APhA Pharmacist Injection Certification curriculum.

The Pharmacist Injection Certification Program serves thousands of pharmacists each year and educates them on the best ways to safely and efficiently inject vaccines and other medicines into patients. PharmaJet’s needle-free injector is specifically approved for use in administering needle-free flu shots with patients aged 18-64.

“The APhA has trained more than 260,000 pharmacists with their program and we are pleased that they are adding the PharmaJet Needle-free injection system to their standard immunization techniques training curriculum. This method provides a safe alternative to traditional immunization methods1, and it is now being taught to pharmacists across the country,” said Ron Lowy, Chairman and CEO of PharmaJet, Inc.

The PharmaJet Needle-free Injector is fast and safe. Because it does not use any needles, it eliminates the possibility of needle stick injuries and provides individuals an alternative to receiving a flu vaccination in a way that reduces anxiety associated with needles.
