NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American Express (NYSE:AXP) and Best Buy today announce the launch of a new e-commerce technology integration that enables U.S. Card Members enrolled in the Membership Rewards® program to seamlessly use their points for online purchases on BestBuy.com. Starting today, Card Members can use their Membership Rewards points for all or part of each online purchase and either pick it up in one of Best Buy’s stores or have it delivered to their door.

American Express’ unique technology enables eligible Card Members to easily use Membership Rewards points for all or part of their BestBuy.com purchases, and allows them to check their Membership Rewards points balance before they check out on BestBuy.com. There are no codes or registration needed. Best Buy also offers all customers shopping on BestBuy.com – including Card Members who choose to use points for their purchase – the option to get their purchases quickly with same day pick-up in store, as 70 percent of Americans live within 15 minutes of one of Best Buy’s 1,400 U.S. locations.
To use Membership Rewards points online at BestBuy.com:
- Open “Your Cart” and proceed through the checkout process
- Enter an eligible American Express Card at online checkout and check your Membership Rewards points balance and the equivalent dollar value
- Designate how many points to use towards your purchase (Card Members can use points for all or part of their order)
- Complete the checkout process by confirming and placing the order
Card Members will see their points balance updated in 2 – 4 business days in their Membership Rewards program account.
