Erickson Secures Uruguayan Air Force Flight Training Contract

Erickson to Conduct Flight Currency Training for Uruguayan Air Force Pilots

PORTLAND, Ore.--()--Erickson Incorporated (NASDAQ:EAC), a leading global provider of aviation services, is pleased to announce today that the company has contracted with Chilcott, Inc. to provide flight currency training for the Fuerza Aerea Uruguaya (FAU or Uruguayan Air Force helicopter pilots). The training will be conducted entirely in Spanish. Under the agreement, Erickson pilot instructors will train FAU pilots in preparation for work on the United Nations Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO).

Erickson President and CEO, Jeff Roberts noted, “We are excited to support Chilcott, US Southern Command and the Uruguayan Air Force in this very important endeavor. This contract fits into our core competency of providing full-range of aviation services for legacy aircraft. We see great value in sharing our expertise for flying in remote and challenging locations.”

Under the contract, Erickson Instructor Pilots are providing ground refresher training and more than 200 hours of supervised flight currency training on a Bell 412 aircraft at Erickson’s facility in McMinnville, Oregon. The training will be completed before scheduled U.N. mission pilot rotations in the third quarter of 2015. Chilcott, Inc. is a small business in the State of Florida, a Certified SBA 8(a) participant and a Certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Chilcott’s customer is US Southern Command.
