DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Preston Hollow Capital, LLC announced today the addition of Michel Benitez as Assistant General Counsel. “Michel’s expertise in municipal finance deals is a wonderful complement to our growing originations team,” says Jim Thompson, the Chairman and CEO of Preston Hollow Capital.
Benitez’s efforts will focus upon structuring and closing real estate and construction loans, municipal bond investments and structured finance transactions.
Before joining Preston Hollow Capital, Benitez served as Assistant General Counsel at ORIX USA, where he provided legal support to ORIX's municipal finance business unit. He previously worked as a public finance attorney in the Denver office of Hogan Lovells US LLP, where he represented issuers, banks, borrowers, and underwriters in connection with taxable and tax-exempt financing transactions. Before beginning his legal practice, Benitez was a commercial loan underwriter.
Benitez received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Trinity University, a Master of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a Juris Doctor and LL.M. (Tax) from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
