NEW YORK--()--Digital Clarity Group (DCG), the analyst and consulting firm focused on customer experience management (CEM), announced the addition of Principal Analyst Stowe Boyd, a highly accomplished thought leader best known for his Future of Work research and prognostications, and most recently lead researcher for Gigaom.

DCG also announced that Joe Hanson has joined its fast-growing team as Director of Business Development. Hanson was a recognized sales performer during his tenure with Forrester.

“We are tremendously pleased to welcome Stowe to our team as he is a true visionary regarding work of the future. Digital disruption demands business transformation. Organizations can’t simply do the same things, just bigger, faster, better. Work purpose, styles, practices, and outputs must necessarily evolve, and with Stowe’s thought leadership as a work futurist, DCG can now offer critical guidance to our clients,” said Scott Liewehr, DCG Principal Analyst and Founder. “He brings expanded perspective on the customer experience management framework that includes content, commerce, social/collaboration, CRM, business process management, information management and analytics.”

As an analyst and consultant at DCG, Boyd’s coverage focuses on digital trends including social media, collaboration, wearable technology, the Internet of Things and other emerging technologies.

Boyd is an internationally recognized futurist, researcher, and analyst. He was an early advocate of social tools in business, leading a conference on that topic in London in 2004, and a second with the Berkman Center at Harvard in 2005. He is credited with coining the terms ‘social tools’ in 1999 and ‘publicy’ in 2009, and is credited with the first use of ‘hashtag’ in 2007. Prior to DCG, Boyd was Research Lead at Gigaom Research, where he led the future of work and work technologies focus area. He was Research Director at Work Futures Research (formerly Stowe Boyd and the Messengers), where he worked with companies like Microsoft, AOL, Betaworks, and dozens of startups. He earned a master's degree in computer science from Boston University, where he was adjunct professor for six years.

Joe Hanson joins DCG from Brainshark, where he was senior national sales manager. Previously he was an account executive at Forrester Research where his business development leadership earned him top honors and accolades from clients and management. With this experience, he comes to DCG with a deep understanding of the business leader’s need for practical, actionable research and advisory services. As a particular objective, Hanson will be instrumental in the build-out of DCG’s offerings for digital agencies and systems integrators.

“We are excited to bring Joe on board to lead the business development efforts across all of our constituents, including buyers and sellers within the experience management ecosystem,” Liewehr said. “Since the firm’s founding in 2012, we have quickly grown our team to include some of the most prolific and cutting-edge researchers in customer experience. Now we’re bolstering our internal infrastructure with Joe’s depth of experience and relationship-driven approach to client engagement.”
