NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Post Capital Partners LLC today announced that it has been named a finalist in two categories in the M&A Advisor’s seventh annual International M&A Awards for its 2014 acquisition of the Puerto Rico division of Waste Management, Inc. (NYSE: WM). Now called EC Waste, the company is the leading waste management provider in Puerto Rico. EC Waste also has landfill and hauling operations in Alabama. The categories for the awards are Cross Border M&A Deal of the Year (over $50 mm - $100 mm) and Corporate/Strategic Acquisition of the Year (over $50 mm - $100 mm).
Post Capital worked closely with Randy Jensen, a 30-year veteran of the solid waste industry and now Chief Executive Officer of EC Waste, to identify and structure the transaction. This is another successful example of Post Capital’s “Executive-First” strategy, in which Post Capital partners with executives to source, execute and manage successful investments.
