RelayHealth Enhances ConnectCenter Practice Portal with Eligibility Data

RelayHealth ConnectCenter now offers channel partners and the practices they serve simple, rapid online access to patient eligibility data, helping to engage patients earlier, minimize denials, reduce rejections, and improve collections

ALPHARETTA, Ga.--()--RelayHealth® Financial today announced that its new ConnectCenter™ revenue cycle management portal now helps users easily confirm patient benefit and insurance information online, to help speed eligibility validation. ConnectCenter can now replace phone/fax/payer portal eligibility verification to help channel partners–practice management vendors, billing companies, revenue cycle management firms, and EMR/HIS vendors–and the practices they serve save time, reduce claim rejections and improve cash flow.

ConnectCenter uses information from RelayClearance™ EDI and RelayHealth Financial’s network of payer connections to assimilate detailed data from over 1,200 payer portals to complement EDI offerings. This additional content includes vital current information including patients’ balance on their annual deductible, multiple service types that patients are eligible for, and the number of days remaining for a service. In addition to accessing this eligibility data through ConnectCenter, RelayHealth Financial channel partners can integrate real-time and batch eligibility verification into their own systems using RelayClearance EDI APIs.

With the addition of eligibility data, ConnectCenter helps streamline patient eligibility verification for channel partners and physician practices by providing electronic, rapid access to the following functions:

  • Search for the patient and validate insurance coverage
  • Determine co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance levels to facilitate collections at the point of service
  • Filter benefits by service (such as chiropractic, emergency, office visit, urgent care, hospital inpatient/outpatient, etc.)
  • Access payer eligibility verification via 1,200+ payer websites and even traditional EDI
  • Address issues related to payer denials with access to six months of request history
