PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Impact Education, LLC (IE), a leader in continuing education (CE) for managed care professionals, is pleased to announce the launch of www.ManagedCareReviewBoard.com, a website devoted to delivering CE activities that focus on managed care and payer related topics. The first curriculum of its kind, The Managed Care Review Board™ is specifically designed and developed for managed care professionals and offers education across a wide range of therapeutic areas.
The Managed Care Review Board™ uses an evidence-based process for decision-making that contributes to the optimization of patient outcomes for specific conditions and diseases to enhance managed care stakeholders’ ability to compare the effects of various treatment options on clinical outcomes, perceived value, and economic implications for the entire health care system.
IE has successfully implemented five iterations of The Managed Care Review Board™ including the therapeutic categories of growth hormone replacement therapy, insomnia, allergen immunotherapy, anticoagulation therapy, and multiple sclerosis. These programs averaged more than 200 participants per live event and more than 300 participants per month for the enduring formats. Outcomes studies for the programs demonstrated the effectiveness of the activity in conveying information to managed care professionals in a manner that promoted immediate learning and the application of learning to advance competence in helping to improve outcomes for patients. Additional curricula focused on other therapeutic categories, such as hepatitis C, diabetes, and rheumatoid arthritis, are expected to launch in 2015, pending grant approvals.
IE is an independent medical education and communications company dedicated to providing high quality educational programs. IE’s mission is to develop education that improves patient outcomes in combination with increased health care efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The majority of activities developed by IE are focused on the needs of the managed care and payer audiences. IE received the Alliance for CME Award for Outstanding Collaboration, which recognizes organizations that best demonstrate innovation or uniqueness in achieving effective CME/CE collaboration. The award recognized the successful partnership with collaborators, including the NCQA, to implement a Performance Improvement CME initiative that has been acknowledged as a model activity.
