SheKnows Media Ranks No. 1 in comScore’s Lifestyle Category for Second Consecutive Month

The Digital Media Brand Leads comScore’s Female Audience in Lifestyles Category by a 30% Margin; Reveals 114% Year-Over-Year Audience Development Growth

NEW YORK--()--SheKnows Media today announced that it is the number-one lifestyle digital media company for the second consecutive month with 81.5 million unique visitors per month1 – a reach that is 114% greater than what it was one year ago in February 20142. SheKnows Media also leads when it comes to reaching women, ranking first within comScore’s Lifestyles category in Female Audience by a margin of more than 30% over AOL Lifestyles, the number-two category contender.3

Year over year, the company’s owned and operated properties, which include sites like SheKnows.com and StyleCaster.com, grew more than 42% in aggregate since February 2014.4 Internal data reveals that SheKnows Media now reaches 64% of its users on mobile or tablet devices – a 10-point increase from the previous year5 and a shift that aligns with online content consumption preferences.

Fueled by aggressive organic growth coupled with its acquisitions of StyleCaster Media Group and BlogHer Inc. in August and November 2014, respectively, SheKnows Media comprises the 13th-largest female audience of all U.S. Internet properties. Media and social sites that it outranks in this category include Pinterest, Twitter, Meredith Digital, Hearst and Condé Nast Digital.6

SheKnows Media also falls within the top 10 U.S. Internet properties targeting women between the ages of 25 to 34.7 However, its audience may index higher in terms of affluence compared to the general population, with an average median annual household income of $72,500. In addition to being socially inclined (82% have used a social media site within the last 30 days and 50% visit one daily), SheKnows Media users are loyal and influential: More than half stick to a brand when they find one they like. They are also 1.3 times higher than the general population to be among the first to own, buy or use the latest beauty and cosmetic products, and 1.2 times higher to frequently advise others on parenting/family issues.8
