Find Your Next… at the 2015 Philadelphia Auto Show

700 vehicles will fill the 700,000 sq. ft. Pennsylvania Convention Center display floor

E. NORRITON, Pa.--()--The Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia (ADAGP) is proud to announce the return of the Philadelphia Auto Show to the Pennsylvania Convention Center from Jan. 31 to Feb. 8. The event’s Media and Industry Preview Day will take place Jan. 30, followed by the Black Tie Tailgate that evening.

“With the allure of 700 vehicles under one roof, there’s no better place to Find Your Next than the Philadelphia Auto Show,” said Donald Franks of J.L. Freed Honda and 2015 Philadelphia Auto Show chairman. “Whether your next is a first car, new vehicle for your family, a work truck, or a sports car to cruise around town, the Auto Show is your chance to examine models with advanced technology and the most up-to-date safety features offered by 40 worldwide manufacturers. These vehicles are more powerful, more fuel efficient, and more environmentally friendly than ever before. Come to the Philadelphia Auto Show to ‘Find Your Next,’ and I’m sure you will.”

The 2015 Philadelphia Auto Show returns to the Pennsylvania Convention Center for its 114th event with a 700,000 square foot display floor featuring an array of pre-production, production, exotic, classic, and concept cars.

“People visit the Auto Show for a variety of reasons, whether it’s an annual tradition with friends or family or a reconnaissance mission to evaluate options or confirm their choices,” said Kevin Mazzucola, executive director of the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia. “You can see vehicles on TV, the Internet, billboards, and in the newspaper, you can hear about them on the radio. But there is nothing that matches the experience of being able to see the metal, glass, and rubber that make up these machines at the Philadelphia Auto Show. Nothing.”

As one of the largest auto shows in the nation, the Philadelphia Auto Show annually welcomes approximately 250,000 attendees during its nine-day run. The event influences over $2.5 billion in vehicle sales every year, which is just shy of a third of total sales in the Philadelphia market.

Specific product highlights and important details of the 2015 Philadelphia Auto Show include:

Philadelphia Auto Show “Face-Off” Powered by Carlisle Events

After successful Face-Offs between Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro in 2013 and Ford versus Mopar last year, the Philadelphia Auto Show cranks up the competition to a new level in 2015. More thrilling than ever before, the Face-Off is a unique challenge that invites local car club enthusiasts to display what they consider their “best of the best.” This year’s duel (powered by Carlisle Events) is an international battle, pitting Imports (such as Porsche, Audi, Volvo, Honda, Toyota, and BMW) against Domestics (primarily Ford, GM, and Mopar). Auto Show attendees will cast their vote for a winner on-site or by using the Philadelphia Auto Show app. The Philadelphia Auto Show will split a $2,500 donation between Toys for Tots and the Penn State Hershey Medical Center on behalf of the car clubs.

DUB Show Tour

Hosted by DUB magazine, the premier publication of the urban automotive lifestyle, this year’s DUB Live exhibit will include 125,000 square feet of the sickest custom cars, trucks, and SUVs. Check out killer paint jobs, performance mods, rims, tints, and sound systems that hit hard. Don’t miss celebrity custom rides including the personal vehicles of professional athletes Jeremey Maclin, Trent Cole, Brandon Boykin, Fletcher Cox, Najee Goode, and Michael Vick. JUMPSTART by Harley-Davidson returns to put attendees in the saddle of a running Harley-Davidson motorcycle to experience firsthand the “thrill of the throttle.” Attendees can mount the bike, set their boots on the foot pegs, and fire up the engine. Sitting comfortably on the bike, riders can shift through the gears – all safely and securely attached to the JUMPSTART platform.

Philanthropic Giving at the Philadelphia Auto Show

The ADAGP donates $2 from every Auto Show ticket sold to the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation, which will use the funds to run a number of important programs throughout the year that benefit area children in need.
