PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EXOS, the leader in proactive health and performance solutions, today announced it has completed the acquisition of MediFit, one of the nation’s leading providers of fitness and wellness center management and design services. With over a half-million people served across hundreds of MediFit sites, including Fortune 500 corporations, the acquisition accelerates EXOS’ strategy of designing and delivering performance game plans that guide people to achieve higher levels of success.
“This acquisition advances our leadership position in human performance,” said Mark Verstegen, founder and president of EXOS. “The move expands our reach, increases our resources, adds talented new team members, and brings with it a successful company that has been trusted for decades by leading organizations.”
“Across the country, there are underserved populations that have limited access to proactive health and performance solutions,” said Dan Burns, CEO of EXOS. “This acquisition allows us to reach these communities with systems that have been proven to achieve peak performance in the most challenging environments, from elite sports to the U.S. military to corporations worldwide.”
With more than 20 years of experience, MediFit’s expertise in health and fitness center management and operational excellence will be integrated with EXOS’ four pillars of human performance: Mindset, Nutrition, Movement, and Recovery. The plan is for a seamless and mutually beneficial integration, aided by the strong cultural synergy between the two companies. By plugging into MediFit’s network of fitness and wellness centers at leading corporations, universities, hospitals, community centers, residential communities, and other recreational centers, EXOS now engages nearly one million people on a daily basis in more than 300 locations worldwide.
“Many companies talk about innovation, but EXOS is pioneering human performance to help people upgrade their lives, which is a mission we’re excited to join,” said Vin DeProssino, co-founder, president, and CEO of MediFit. “EXOS is the perfect cultural match for our organization, and together we will deepen our commitment to offer the highest quality and most impactful services for our clients and partners.”
“The complementary capabilities of EXOS and MediFit bring to the marketplace the best in performance solutions and fitness center management, offering a unique human capital improvement value proposition,” added Jeff Terrill, president of EXOS.
EXOS’ corporate headquarters will remain in Phoenix, Arizona.
