Commonwealth Financial Network® Ranked a Top Place to Work Seven Years Running

WALTHAM, Mass.--()--For the seventh consecutive year, Commonwealth Financial Network® has been named as one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts by the Boston Globe. Overall, Commonwealth was honored as the #5 large-size* firm to work for. Commonwealth is part of an exclusive group of Massachusetts companies that has earned a spot every year since the Globe introduced its Top Places list.

The Top Places to Work ranking recognizes companies across the state based on employee opinions on six key factors related to employee happiness: company direction, execution, employee connection, work load and responsibility, management, and pay and benefits. Private companies, nonprofits, and publicly held businesses were included in the analysis.

“To be honored as a Top Place to Work in Massachusetts for seven straight years speaks to our longstanding commitment to our employees and our longevity as a growing and successful financial services organization,” said Kate Creagh, managing principal, human resources at Commonwealth. “We value our employees’ contributions, and with more than 75 unique professional development courses offered throughout this past year alone, we are equally committed to the individual growth of our team of more than 700, providing ample opportunities for advancement to those willing to do the work.”

As recently reported by the Boston Globe, there are a number of open positions that Commonwealth is actively seeking qualified candidates for.

“Our culture has long been our differentiator,” said Wayne Bloom, Commonwealth’s CEO. “Our company was founded on a unique dual vision: to be the best at everything we do and to maintain a supportive environment where all of our people can thrive. We credit that vision for the caliber of people who make up our dynamic organization. We hire the best so we can best serve the independent financial advisors we support, and, to us, that’s an investment worth making.”

In all, Commonwealth has been recognized 28 times as a Best Places to Work by top regional publications, including the Boston Globe, Boston Business Journal, San Diego Business Journal, and U-T (Union- Tribune) San Diego, as well as by the IT industry’s leading publication, Computerworld.

In June 2014, for the fourth time in a row, Commonwealth was ranked “Highest in Independent Advisor Satisfaction Among Financial Investment Firms” by J.D. Power.

*Large-size is defined as companies with between 250 and 999 employees in Massachusetts
