SEER Interactive Founder Wil Reynolds Joins Board of Philly Startup Leaders

PHILADELPHIA--()--Philly Startup Leaders (PSL), a volunteer organization of over 1,800 area startup founders and executives, venture capitalists, angel investors, government officials, and supporters, today announced that SEER Interactive Founder Wil Reynolds has joined its Board of Directors.

“Wil Reynolds is the perfect addition to the Board,” said Bob Moul, Chairman of the PSL Board and CEO of Artisan Mobile in Old City Philadelphia. “Having built SEER in Philadelphia with a major footprint in Northern Liberties, Wil has tremendous respect in the startup community and the type of positive energy that is contagious.”

Wil founded SEER Interactive in 2002, which now employees 100 people in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia. The company drives traffic to sites from search engines and analyzes the impact that traffic has on the bottom line of companies. Wil's career began at a web marketing agency in 1999, where he spearheaded the SEO strategies for companies that included Barnes & Noble, Disney, Harman Kardon, Debeers, Doubleclick, Hotjobs, and Mercedes Benz USA.

Wil believes that the university ecosystem in Philadelphia is the key to the City’s future. “This is our distinct advantage. Other tech hubs struggle because they don’t have a built in base of businesses coming out of dorm rooms like we do. We have a short window to make this city attractive to students, so more will want to start and grow their businesses here or join an existing business.”

Rick Nucci, PSL’s President and CEO of Guru, also based in Old City said, “Wil brings a wealth of experience to the table and will do a stellar job of building on the positive momentum found on our leadership team and in PSL’s wide community network.”

Philly Startup Leaders is known as one of the key gears in the startup ecosystem in Philadelphia, and made the case for the City of Philadelphia’s $6 million Startup PHL Seed Fund supported by Mayor Michael Nutter. PSL has also brought local, state and national attention to Philadelphia’s thriving startup community through events and communications outreach.

Wil currently sits on the advisory board of Covenant House, an organization that works with runaway youth in the Philadelphia area.
