INDIANAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Family owned and Indiana-based Salin Bank and Trust Company today announced that John M. Belden has been named Community President and will lead commercial and business banking efforts for the Indianapolis and Columbus markets.
“John is a highly experienced banking manager with outstanding lending and leadership skills,” says Mike Greer, Executive Vice President – Director of Commercial Banking. “We are extremely excited to have him lead our Indianapolis and Columbus teams.”
John brings an impressive background in banking, financial services, and relationship building to his new position. For the past seven years, he served as Business Banking Relationship Manager and Vice President for Regions Bank. Among other things, he developed, expanded, and managed commercial banking relationships.
Before that, John held several other key positions with Regions Bank, including Senior Regional Commercial Credit Analyst and Officer, Special Assets Bank Officer, and Senior Credit Analyst.
In addition, John has experience as a Physical Damage Claims Specialist Manager and Examiner.
John graduated from Indiana State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. His professional achievements include recognition as the Top 10 Business Banker Scorecard Achiever in Regions Bank from 2010-2013; Regions Bank’s Top Business Banker for Lending in the 2nd quarter of 2008 & 1st quarter 2011; Chairman’s Club Award Winner, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. The top loan producer in MidSouth Region in 2010; and the No. 1 Area Business Banker in Revenue/Scorecard for six-plus consecutive years.
John remains active in the local community through his volunteer work with youth travel baseball/softball in the Greenwood and Indianapolis Area. He also serves as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
