DALLAS--()--tripBAM™, the new hotel shopping service, won the Business Travel Supplier Innovation Award at The Business Travel News Group’s inaugural Innovate Conference in New York last week. A panel that included travel technology experts and representatives from Microsoft and PhoCusWright reviewed the offerings of seven business travel-focused companies at the event. The judges ultimately honored tripBAM for its progress in helping corporations and travel management companies (TMCs) shop for lower hotel rates.

tripBAM uses patent-pending “cluster” shopping processes to find savings on more than 60 percent of hotel groups searched, with average savings of more than $100 per stay. Recent enhancements make it easier for corporations to shop for rates exclusively at preferred hotels, helping companies steer room nights to their top partners. Half of America’s top TMCs, as well as a growing number of the country’s 100 highest-travel-spending firms, are engaged with tripBAM today.

STR, the recognized authority on hotel industry performance trends, just last month projected that the average daily rate (ADR) in America’s top 25 markets will increase 4.7 percent this year and 5.4 percent in 2015. In the face of such rate increases in the United States and corresponding growth in international markets, corporations are expressing greater interest in tripBAM’s cost-saving services.

“It’s an honor to win this award, particularly given the impressive display of technology at the Innovate Conference,” said Steve Reynolds, founder and CEO of tripBAM. “With costs for every element of the business trip on the rise, the corporate travel arena is ripe for innovation that delivers value while meeting both corporate and supplier objectives. Our industry has been most receptive to tripBAM, and we look forward to helping more corporate programs save on hotel expenses in the future.”
