JACKSONVILLE, N.C.--()--The City of Jacksonville named Wednesday, August 20th as AloriCares Day. Alorica, a worldwide leading provider of customer management outsourcing solutions, was recognized for its continual community involvement and support for military veterans through its AloriCares initiative. Mayor Pro-Tem Michael Lazzara presented Alorica with a proclamation at the Hiring Our Heroes Hiring Fair at Camp Lejeune yesterday.

“Alorica has positively impacted our Jacksonville community by providing support and jobs to local residents, including military veterans and their spouses. It’s fitting that we proclaim Aug. 20th as AloriCares Day at the hiring event,” said Michael Lazzara, City of Jacksonville Mayor Pro-Tem. “Their continued efforts will provide many new employment opportunities to our community members in the coming years.”

Alorica realized several years ago that veterans often have difficulty finding long term and fulfilling professions when they return home. The AloriCares initiative was implemented to assist veterans in establishing careers after completing their military service. AloriCares offers professional employment for both military veterans and active duty spouses. A sponsor is also provided to help guide families through the transition process.

“Our AloriCares program was created to help ease veterans’ transition into the workforce and to combat the current level of unemployment in the military community,” said Marianne Strobel, vice president of the AloriCares initiative at Alorica. “By providing new jobs in the Jacksonville area, we hope to offer many military families a bright future.”

Employees are also encouraged to develop their leadership skills and position within the company. AloriCares has provided numerous stipends allowing employees to expand their knowledge and pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree. The children of AloriCares’ staff are also eligible for college scholarships to help further their education.
