ATI Nursing Education partners with nursing visionary Dr. Patricia E. Benner

ATI will expand distribution for EducatingNurses.com, Dr. Benner’s online development series for nursing faculty

LEAWOOD, Kan.--()--ATI Nursing Education today announced its partnership with renowned nurse educator, Patricia E. Benner, RN, PhD, FAAN, author of notable books Educating Nurses: A Call for Radical Transformation, From Novice to Expert, and many more.

Through the partnership, ATI Nursing will serve as the exclusive provider of Dr. Benner's nursing faculty development series, EducatingNurses.com. This online faculty development series demonstrates how master nurse educators apply clinical concepts in the classroom. Like other works produced by Dr. Benner, EducatingNurses.com is considered an authoritative perspective on developing dynamic and effective nursing faculty.

"I am excited about the opportunity to work with ATI, with its focus on faculty development to improve teaching and enhance learning in schools of nursing," said Dr. Benner. "ATI has an amazing ongoing relationship with so many schools of nursing, and I am confident that our partnership will be synergistic.

"EducatingNurses.com will focus more on the content of our faculty development and ATI will do what it does so well, connect with schools, and guide faculty for optimal use of these materials."

EducatingNurses.com features videos of nursing educators teaching in the classroom, with commentary and analysis. Each video tutorial integrates classroom and clinical teaching, knowledge acquisition and use, and three professional apprenticeships -- the cognitive, the practice and clinical reasoning, and ethical formation and comportment. Topics include curriculum design, theories of learning and student engagement, overall faculty development, and more.

“This is a natural partnership. EducatingNurses.com is the best online faculty development series in the market,” said Mike Lynch, Executive Vice President of ATI Nursing Education. “Dr. Benner has devoted her career to developing great nursing faculty, building strong programs, and defining the future of nursing and nursing education. We at ATI are committed to driving nursing success for every program. We’re honored to partner with her.”
