NIWeek 2014

AUSTIN, Texas--()--Mouser Electronics is in the spotlight at this year’s NIWeek with the announcement of the upcoming global release of MultiSIM BLUE, the NI Multisim Component Evaluator Mouser Edition. The global distributor of electronic components was featured in the Keynote address, introducing this new, all-in-one circuit simulation tool with integrated PCB design and Bill of Materials (BOM).

MultiSIM BLUE will enable engineers to design and simulate circuits before laying it out in any physical prototype. In collaboration with NI, the new Mouser version of the free tool will add features and functionality to provide engineers with an industry-standard SPICE simulation environment of electronic circuits using Mouser’s distributed components, including its vast stock of the newest products.

This upcoming release of MultiSIM BLUE will include more than 100,000 electronic components with intuitive simulation features. Engineers can now visualize and evaluate linear performance, making this critical step of circuit design easier, faster and far more productive. With MultiSIM BLUE, engineers can easily create schematics, simulate circuits and build printed circuit board layouts due to its fully integrated tool chain. MultiSIM BLUE gives the ability to scheme and simulate, plus it handles PCB layout and single-click BOM to cart purchasing. Check out the new tool by visiting http://www.mouser.com/MultiSimBlue.

Mouser is sponsoring the NIWeek design conference, along with exhibiting in Booth 836. The 20th annual event, presented by National Instruments, brings together the brightest engineering minds in the industry.

“We are excited to be partnering with National Instruments on this new design tool for engineers. Providing our customers with the newest, authorized electronic components never has been enough for us,” said Kevin Hess, Vice President of Technical Marketing. “We are constantly looking for ways to take that next step to help all of our customers, particularly design engineers, select, purchase and design the next great thing. With MultiSIM BLUE, Mouser and NI, two giants in the industry, have partnered to set a new standard in creating an easy-to-use, integrated platform for circuit simulation and design to PCB to BOM.”

The advanced circuit design tool is included with a library of more than 100,000 authorized Mouser electronic components from the industry’s leading manufacturers. Simulation is driven by the same advanced parser technology as NI Multisim software with support from BSIM and other advanced parameters.

“NI has been providing design engineers with tools to optimize their design performance and reduce time to market for years,” said Ray Almgren, NI Vice President of Marketing. “We’re excited to partner with Mouser to extend the reach of our powerful design tools with MultiSIM BLUE and provide every circuit designer with the latest components in the market.”

Unlike other tools, MultiSIM BLUE provides a fully interactive schematic interface with a full-right-click menu. Part selection is just a click away along with a fully integrated wiring and reviewing platform. MultiSIM BLUE supports a wide range of component types, including passives, discretes, analog ICs, discrete signal ICs, mixed signal ICs, sensors, power ICs and protection devices.
