ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Engineering firm Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH®) named Mark Broses, PE, as the company’s Vice President and Regional Leader responsible for growth and operations in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. This position is part of the company’s executive team responsible for the delivery of quality services to clients and the success of the 700 employee-owners who make up the company.
Broses officially moved into the role July 1, 2014, when Sr. Vice President Jim Newman, PE, retired after a 34-year career with the company. “I am excited about this opportunity for Mark and for the clients we serve,” said SEH Chief Executive Officer/President Sam Claassen, PE. “Mark is a leader who has the energy and enthusiasm required to deliver quality services and innovative approaches to our diverse set of clients. Broses holds a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Michigan and has been part of the engineering and construction industry for almost 30 years. Throughout the course of his 20-year career at SEH, Mark has provided environmental engineering solutions for numerous private and public sector clients, and held multiple leadership roles. He currently serves as a member of the SEH Board of Directors, and was a board member of subsidiary SEH Design|Build through 2013. Immediately prior to taking on this new position, he acted as the Co-Director of the company’s innovative Energy and Sustainability Team.
Beyond the work day, Broses is dedicated to his community. He is active on the local boards of the Chippewa Falls (Wis.) Rotary Club, and the Chippewa Falls Rotary Foundation, the Chippewa Area Chamber of Commerce, and is a regular volunteer at the local Oktoberfest. As part of the Rotary’s humanitarian efforts, Broses has traveled to Bolivia to help develop sustainable and clean sources of drinking water.
