Mechanics Bank Appoints Larry Cretan as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--()--Larry Cretan, has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer at Mechanics Bank.

Mr. Cretan brings over 30 years experience as an executive in credit and lending. Prior to joining Mechanics Bank, Larry worked for Pacific Capital Bank and has been a consultant for financial institutions and nonprofits. Previously in his career, Mr. Cretan held senior positions in credit administration and management for 7 years at Greater Bay Bank as well as during his 17 year tenure with Wells Fargo Bank. Larry will manage Credit Administration, Loan Center Operations and the Special Assets Group for the Bank.
