MIAMI--()--Avila Rodriguez Hernandez Mena & Ferri LLP (ARHMF), a law firm in Miami, announced today that Asnardo Garro, a Partner in ARHMF’s Banking & Finance Practice, has been elected President of the South Florida Banking Institute (SFBI). The SFBI provides technical and managerial resources, assistance and information to South Florida bankers to strengthen their professional development and meet their changing needs.

Mr. Garro has served on the SFBI’s Board of Directors for several years prior to his election as President, and he has practiced in the area of banking and finance since graduating from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law in 2000. “I am honored that the SFBI and its members have trusted me to lead the SFBI as its President in the coming year, and I look forward to working with the SFBI’s past Presidents and Board of Directors to further SFBI’s commitment to the South Florida banking community,” said Asnardo Garro.

Mr. Garro is the second partner at ARHMF to serve as the SFBI’s President. Patricia Hernandez, a partner in ARHMF’s Banking & Finance Practice, served as President from 2010 to 2011 and is a member of the Board of Directors.
