NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--David Sable, Global CEO of Y&R announced today that Sebastian Bayer has been named CEO of Y&R Vienna. Bayer will succeed Alois Schober, who has been with Y&R Vienna for the better part of 30 years and who will support and consult Bayer in his new role of a Non-Executive Chairman, effective immediately.
Bayer, known as a top marketing professional in Central Europe, spent 12 years at Nike, serving most recently as Marketing Director Running, responsible for driving strategy, operations and creative in the Austrian, German and Swiss markets. Throughout Bayer’s career at Nike, he has held various roles in both marketing and digital across the region.

Bayer received his Master’s degree in Business at the University of Economics and in Vienna. In addition to pursuing his business interests, he played guitar for 14 years at the Musikschule in Vienna and has performed at the “Wiener Festwochen.” Bayer was born and raised in Vienna and has a wife and two children. His native language is German, but he is also fluent in English, French and Italian.
