Chartwell Capital Appoints Anastasia Cheung As Senior Investment Advisor

HONG KONG--()--Chartwell Capital is pleased to announce the appointment of Anastasia Cheung as Senior Investment Advisor.

Prior to joining Chartwell, Ms. Cheung worked at CITIC Capital in Hong Kong from 2006 to 2012, focusing on investments in both private and public companies and serving in an internal advisory capacity. From 2002 to 2005, she was an internal sales consultant with Siegel Systems, helping to evaluate customer proposals and create business opportunities for the sales team. Between 1995 and 2000, Ms. Cheung was based in New York, where she focused on mezzanine investments and corporate-finance related work at GarMark Advisors and Salomon Brothers, respectively. A 2002 graduate of the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business, Ms. Cheung also holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, which she received in 1995.

In her new capacity, Ms. Cheung will spearhead Chartwell’s investment and advisory activities. She will primarily be involved in identifying small and medium cap companies in Asia, and will adopt a friendly approach in helping those companies to create value for shareholders. With almost 20 years of experience in investing, consulting and banking, Ms. Cheung is a great addition to the team.

Chartwell Capital is a Hong Kong-based asset management company. Its investment strategy is to seek Asian opportunities in public equities that present deep discounts to their intrinsic value, as calculated using detailed fundamental analysis. Its flagship Chartwell Value Fund, managed by Ronald Chan and Brian Lui, recorded a 10.6% return from its inception on January 30, 2013 to the close of 2013. During the same period, the MSCI AC Asia ex Japan index increased by just 1.6%.
