The U.S. Commercial Services Mid-Atlantic Network and State of New Jersey Partner to Support Export Initiatives in Turkey and across Eurasia

Partnership to Assist SMEs Exhibiting at WIN Metalworking in Istanbul; New Jersey Offers Financial Aid to Manufacturing Businesses Significantly Lowering Exhibition Costs

CHICAGO--()--The U.S. Commercial Services Mid-Atlantic Network, a driver of trade promotion efforts for the United States (Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North and South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia) and the State of New Jersey have partnered to assist small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with their export initiatives at the World of Industry Metalworking (WIN Metalworking) 2014 in Turkey. WIN Metalworking is the largest metalworking products & components trade fair in Eurasia showcasing innovations for the Automotive, Energy, Infrastructure and Metal Fittings industries, to name a few. The trade event attracts more than 27,000 qualified buyers from Turkey, the Balkans, and Central Asian, Middle Eastern and African markets, running from Thursday, June 5-Sunday, June 8, 2014, at the Tüyap Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul, Turkey.

“WIN Metalworking provides an extraordinary opportunity for Mid-Atlantic SMEs to showcase our country’s high quality, innovative goods and services in our U.S. Pavilion during the show,” said Larry Turner, President and CEO of Hannover Fairs USA (HFUSA). “We are proud to be working with The U.S. Commercial Services Mid-Atlantic Network and the State of New Jersey to introduce the region’s manufacturing expertise to Turkey and across Eurasia.”

The U.S. Commercial Services Mid-Atlantic Network and the State of New Jersey are offering Mid-Atlantic SMEs two exhibition options in the HFUSA organized U.S. Pavilion. Both options include access to networking events and promotion opportunities, as well as trade show passes. Interested exhibitors can choose from the following:

  • Kiosk style booth space at a cost of $1,750
  • 10’ x 10’ booth space at a cost of $3,500

Additionally, the State of New Jersey will provide $1000 of State Trade and Export Program funding to each eligible New Jersey manufacturing company that selects Kiosk style booth space, significantly lowering their exhibition space cost to $750.

“We are very excited to offer both financial and promotional support for our manufacturing entities that are actively exporting or looking to export to Turkey and throughout Eurasia,” said Debora Sykes, Director of Central-Southern New Jersey U.S. Export Assistance Center. “Exhibiting at WIN Metalworking offers U.S. manufacturers the opportunity to network with highly-qualified attendees who are enthusiastic about buying our products and services or forming distribution partnerships. Any Mid-Atlantic manufacturer that can afford the airfare needs to seriously consider this cost effective opportunity to get in front of buyers in the commercial hub of the Eurasian marketplace.”

As the 16th largest economy in the world, Turkey continues to outperform many areas around the globe. Between 2002 and 2012, the country achieved an average annual real GDP growth rate of 5 percent. Turkey is the 13th most attractive Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) destination in the world. United States to Turkey trade continues to remain at record levels.
