Olapic Joins Demandware LINK to Enhance Commerce Innovation With User-Generated Photos and Videos

Current and Future Demandware Customers Can Now Quickly and Easily Integrate User-Generated Photos and Videos onto their E-commerce Sites

NEW YORK--()--Olapic, a company that lets consumers become part of a brand’s visual voice by showcasing their user-generated images and videos into a company’s e-commerce experience, today announced that it has become a Demandware LINK Technology Partner. Through the LINK Technology Partner Program, Olapic has developed a pre-built integration between their platform and Demandware Commerce, making it possible for Demandware clients to showcase the brand’s hand selected user-generated photos and videos and link these photos back to the point of purchase. Olapic provides a SaaS solution for retailers who want to harness the power of their customers’ social photo and video sharing.

“E-commerce companies that use the Olapic platform can see a significant increase in engagement and conversion rates by integrating user-generated photos and videos onto their sites,” said Luis Sanz, co-founder of Olapic. “Now a part of the Demandware LINK Technology Partner Program, we’re giving Demandware customers the opportunity to more easily engage with their consumers and for those consumers to become product evangelists, models and stylists all at once.”

Demandware and Olapic client, New Balance, chose to work with Olapic because “the team is seamless to collaborate with, the product is easy to use and their approach to UGC makes too much sense to ignore,” said Nathan Forness, Senior Creative Experience Manager.

Shifting consumer-shopping behavior is driving an evolution/revolution in e-commerce, specifically how consumers discover, evaluate and interact with products (online). Visual-centric platforms such as Instagram and Twitter are helping drive this change. New customer shopping preferences are emerging, with less emphasis placed on the value of studio photographed models and increasing emphasis on how these products can be styled or used in real life and by real individuals.

“Integrating Olapic into the Demandware platform will offer a whole new set of features to our customers,” said Tom Griffin, SVP, Corporate Development at Demandware. “User-generated photos and videos are one of a number of new and innovative technologies that are helping our customers bring exciting and revenue-generating experiences to the end-consumer.”

Olapic currently works with 80 e-commerce retailers, including White House Black Market, COACH, Vineyard Vines, BaubleBar, DANNIJO, Steve Madden, NYX Cosmetics, Lancôme, Nasty Gal, West Elm and New Balance, amongst others.
