Multimedia Games Named a Top Place to Work in Austin by Austin American-Statesman

AUSTIN, Texas--()--A dedication to its employees and a mission of creating an environment of innovation and diversity through “Playing Louder” has resulted in the selection of Multimedia Games Holding Company, Inc. as one of the Austin American-Statesman’s Top Workplaces for 2013, making it the second year in a row the Company has received this honor.

Founded in 1991, Multimedia Games currently employs 327 Austinites and over 466 people nationwide, following the addition of 95 new employees in 2013. The Company continues to grow its local employee base, leveraging a 500% jump in its stock price over the last two years and its increasing status as one of the gaming industry’s leading providers of innovative slot products.

Multimedia Games prides itself on its PLAY LOUDER™ attitude, which is never more apparent than when it comes to the Company’s community involvement and its embrace of the motto, “We Live Here, We Give Here.” This year, at the Company’s annual Main Event for employees and their families, the local Meals on Wheels chapter in Austin received a donation of over $15,000 thanks to the sale of raffle tickets, t-shirts and concession stand items. In addition, when tornadoes ravaged Oklahoma, a state many Multimedia Games employees call home, the Company held an Oklahoma Disaster Relief fundraiser which successfully raised over $12,000 for those employees affected by the devastation. These events represent the continuation of the Company’s local involvement which includes the sponsorship of the 21st and 22nd Annual Thundercloud Subs Turkey Trot in 2011 and 2012, respectively.

“It is a great honor to once again be named as one of Austin’s top workplaces,” said Patrick Ramsey, President and Chief Executive Officer of Multimedia Games. “While we have generated great financial growth and created significant shareholder value over the past few years, there is no better sign of success than to have our own teammates vote for Multimedia Games as one of the best places to work in Austin. We believe Austin gives us a true competitive advantage, allowing us to tap the community’s incredible creativity as we create great games that capture the attention of players across the country. I offer my thanks to the entire team and to the Austin American-Statesman for this honor.”
