MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SCOR Global Life Canada is pleased to announce the following additions to its staff:
- Brian Traxler, ASA, ACIA, MAAA, has joined the company as Vice President, Individual Life, effective July 1. He will be working from the Toronto and Charlotte, North Carolina, offices.
- François Bernard, FSA, FCIA, has joined the company as Vice President and Chief Marketing Actuary, effective August 19. He will be based in Toronto.

Brian Traxler transfers from SCOR’s US operations, where he served as Assistant Vice President and Marketing Actuary. He has more than 20 years of reinsurance industry pricing and marketing experience. Prior to SCOR, Brian served as a marketing actuary for Transamerica Reinsurance. Earlier in his career, he worked at several Life & Health insurers in Canada, with responsibilities in pricing, underwriting, valuation and administration. He is a graduate of the University of Waterloo (Mathematics) and is an Associate of both the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
François Bernard brings to SCOR more than 22 years of expertise in the actuarial consulting field. He was formerly with a consulting firm where he provided strategic advice to clients on their insurance programs and assisted them in managing their risk exposures. Over the course of his career he has worked on various projects in the retirement, insurance and reinsurance industries. François is a graduate of Laval University (Actuarial Science), and is a Fellow of both the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
