SAN DIEGO & ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Digital publisher Lion Forge Comics is launching three digital comic books in conjunction with Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC). The properties, Rampage Jackson: Street Soldier, Wonderous: The Adventures of Claire Sinclair and The Joshua Run are based on Bellator MMA fighter and TNA “IMPACT WRESTLING” star Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Playboy’s 2011 “Playmate of the Year” Claire Sinclair and actor/comedian Flex Alexander, respectively.
- Rampage Jackson: Street Soldier follows the adventures of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as he gains powers from a meteorite and decides to use them for good. When good people end up in bad situations, Rampage has no problem getting ugly to set things right!
- Wonderous: The Adventures of Claire Sinclair focuses on Claire Sinclair, a broke college student who gets a dose of superpowers after volunteering for a medical study. She begins to test out her abilities, eventually going head-to-head with a sinister super villain – who also happens to be her ex-boyfriend.
- The Joshua Run, created by actor/comedian Flex Alexander, focuses on David Joshua, a computer hacker for hire who specializes in smoothing out the inconveniences of modern life. The cyber-thriller comic explores the nature of power in an information-driven world.
“With these three titles, we know there’s something that appeals to every comic book fan, young and old, and we’re ecstatic to launch them at the most popular comic book event in the world,” said David Steward II, founder and CEO, Lion Forge. “We have talented teams working behind each title to create intriguing characters and storylines, and cannot wait for readers to embrace the new and exciting stories of Rampage Jackson, Claire Sinclair and David Joshua with open arms.”
Wonderous: The Adventures of Claire Sinclair and The Joshua Run will be available this week for download via Amazon Kindle Bookstore, Apple iBooks, Barnes & Noble’s The Nook Book Store and Kobo. Also, Lion Forge will release a stand-alone issue of Rampage Jackson: Street Soldier in August. Previews are currently available to press. The series will officially launch in October.
Claire Sinclair and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will attend SDCC and will be available for press interviews on Thursday, July 18, and Saturday, July 20, respectively. Lion Forge executives will be available for interviews throughout the duration of the event and Flex Alexander also will be available for interviews via phone. Members of the press interested in booking an appointment or securing review copies should contact LionForge@wonacottpr.com.
Additionally, Lion Forge executives will participate on a panel from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. PDT on Saturday, July 20, in Room: 26AB, where they will discuss upcoming NBCUniversal-licensed properties, announced earlier this month, as well as the properties launched today and more.
