WETUMPKA, Ala.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Beginning in 2012, Information Transport Solutions, Inc. (ITS), a Wetumpka, Alabama-based Inc. 5000 Information Technology (I.T.) company, implemented a transition plan to shift from an owner-operator business model to an executive leadership model. Part of the plan incorporated hiring a separate CEO, CFO, and COO. In January of 2013, all three positions were filled – one from outside the company and two from within – but this release serves as the first public announcement of the new leadership team.
Steve Meany, a twenty-seven year veteran of the technology industry, was hired as CEO after nearly twenty years with Cisco Systems where he led global teams. Quincy Minor was hired as COO, transitioning from VP of Operations. Mr. Minor started with ITS in 2003 as a senior engineer moving to IT Manager then VP of Operations. Jeff Drury was hired as VP of Finance in 2006 after serving as Technology Coordinator for the Lee County Board of Education. In 2009 Drury was promoted as CEO/CFO. Mr. Meany’s hiring now allows Mr. Drury to focus fully on the role of CFO.
“Information Transport Solutions is close to finishing its second quarter with a full C-suite leadership team in place, and we could not be happier with the progress and growth,” said Tomi Selby, President and Founder of ITS. “Steve Meany, Quincy Minor, and Jeff Drury have quickly bonded as a team and the results speak for themselves.”
ITS is known for its deep penetration into the education market, integrating voice, video, and data, but the company is seeing notable movement in the financial and healthcare industries. Most of the growth stems from ITS’s ability to personally build and assist in the management of a holistic I.T. environment for its customers. ITS is focused on increasing efficiencies and security within customers’ organizations to decrease total cost of operation and limit security breeches.
“Coming from a Fortune 100 company whose products serve as the backbone for nearly all Internet traffic in the world to a locally-owned, regionally-focus company provides a great opportunity for me to learn and grow with ITS,” said Steve Meany, CEO of ITS. “I must say that having Quincy Minor and Jeff Drury as part of the ITS leadership team has made this transition easy, and I look forward to growing with them and the rest of the ITS staff.”
