BLOOMFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cigna Corporation today named Lisa Bacus to the newly created position of global chief marketing officer, with responsibility for all global marketing activities. In the new role, Bacus will report directly to President and Chief Executive Officer David M. Cordani and will be a member of the Cigna Enterprise Leadership Team.
Bacus is a seasoned marketing leader with more than 25 years’ experience energizing company brands and leading customer-centric initiatives. At Cigna she will be charged with integrating the company’s marketing organizations into a single global marketing team and working to strengthen the worldwide brand.

Most recently, Bacus served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer at American Family Insurance. Prior to that, she served for more than 20 years at Ford Motor Company where she held many key roles, including head of global marketing strategy and director of global market research.
Bacus earned BA and BS degrees from Northern Arizona University and an MBA from Duke University. She will begin work in her new post May 20 and will be relocating to the Bloomfield area in the near future.
