Rokform® Announces Inspiring Results of Partnership with American Forests Global ReLeaf Program

Rokform cases planted over 50,000 trees in U.S. through the American Forests Global ReLeaf program

SANTA ANA, Calif.--()--Rokform®, a leading manufacturer of functional and creative cases and accessories, is proud to announce the first update from its partnership with American Forests. Through the partnership, one tree is planted through the American Forests Global ReLeaf program for every RokBed™ and RokLock™ case sold now through July 31, 2013. Together, Rokform and American Forests Global ReLeaf have planted over 50,000 trees in the U.S.

In California, 1,577 trees were planted as a result of Rokform’s contributions in Lassen National Forest to restore areas that fell victim of wildfire. Healthy stands of trees and species diversity in this area will aid in long-term watershed recovery. In Markleeville, CA, 25,000 Jeffrey Pines were added to bring life back to a forest that was severely damaged after an illegal campfire. Rokform’s contribution to the Gold Planting Project has also planted 11,127 trees in California’s Tahoe National Forest to diversify the composition of the forest and provide greater resilience.

Additionally, 5,000 Ponderosa Pine trees have been planted in the southwest region of Montana in order to restore their forest with durability and tolerance to wind and soil erosion.

“Rokform is committed to giving back, and seeing such great results from this partnership with American Forests encourages us to continue to do more,” says CEO Jeff Whitten. “It’s inspiring to see the results of our contribution, and to know the specific areas where we have had a positive impact.”

Since 1990, American Forests Global ReLeaf has planted more than 44 million trees to restore forest ecosystems in every state across the U.S. and 39 countries around the world. Through local partnerships, Global ReLeaf is able to involve individuals, organizations, agencies and corporations in tree planting projects that restore local and global ecosystems.

“Our forests provide tremendous benefits for all of us, including clean air and water, habitat for wildlife, and places for recreation and relaxation,” says Scott Steen, American Forests CEO. “We’re pleased to be partnering with Rokform to help restore damaged forest ecosystems. Partners like Rokform help us make a real difference for the environment and the natural world.”
