ARLINGTON, Va.--()--BAE Systems announced today that Erin Moseley, senior vice president of Government Relations, has been appointed president of the company’s Support Solutions sector, effective immediately.

Moseley succeeds David Herr, who was named executive vice president, Service Sectors, on Feb. 7. As the president of Support Solutions, Moseley will work to improve agility, leverage the company’s extraordinary employees and capabilities, and maximize its cost-competitiveness to meet customers’ needs for affordable products and services.

“Over the past year, BAE Systems has benefited from Erin’s tireless efforts to advocate with Congress, military officials and other industry executives to address sequestration,” said Linda P. Hudson, president and CEO of BAE Systems, Inc. “Her extensive industry experience in government relations, program management and business strategy suits her ideally for this new operational role.”

The Support Solutions sector currently employs approximately 12,000 employees and provides a wide range of products and services, including engineering, systems integration, ship repair, and readiness & sustainment for military and commercial customers throughout the product life cycle, around the world.

Previously, Moseley was president of Principled Strategies, a consulting firm that provided support to defense industry partners to augment their knowledge of government budgeting cycles and contract processes. Prior to forming Principled Strategies, she worked for Lockheed Martin Corporation as vice president, Sensors and Electronic Systems, and led the Washington Operations in support of multiple business areas, including systems integration and sea-based platforms, missile defense, sensors and electronic systems, as well as simulation and training.

Moseley’s tenure with Lockheed Martin was preceded by her work on the General Dynamics Combat Systems leadership team as staff vice president, Government Relations. Prior to her industry experience, Moseley worked for the U.S. Departments of State and Energy, where she served in a variety of positions and was the recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal.

Frank Ruggiero, vice president of international Government Relations, will serve as the acting senior vice president of Government Relations until a successor is named.
