BOSTON--()--HighRoads, the industry leader in health care compliance and benefits management, today announced that its clients, Tashi Theisman, Director, Global Benefit Operations at Dell Inc. and Lisa Gomez, Senior Benefits Analyst at Con-way, have each been recognized as winners of this year’s “Solutions Superstar 2012” by CDHC Solutions, the official publication of “The Institute for HealthCare Consumerism (IHC).”

Each year, the IHC recognizes those who go above and beyond in executing innovative health and benefit management programs, or providing those solutions to organizations. The organization has recognized Dell with its “Most Effective Plan Implementation” award for its superior implementation of a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technology from HighRoads. The HighRoads solution enabled Dell to successfully complete all of its required Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and self-insured Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) documents, on time and in compliance.

As a result of this implementation, Dell saw a 347% return on investment while enabling greater efficiencies and higher productivity for our internal human resources staff.

IHC has also recognized Con-way with its “Most Innovative Employee Education/Communication Award.” Faced with the need to quickly update six employee benefit handbooks in various states of completion, Con-way turned to automation to streamline what was once a very labor intensive, manual process. Leveraging technology from HighRoads to automate the creation of Con-way’s benefits compliance communication materials, the company was ultimately able to meet its stringent requirements for delivery timing, accuracy and efficiency.

“HighRoads helped to not only improve delivery efficiency for our employee benefits handbooks, they also helped us to improve their organization and readability so that our employees would get more from these valuable documents,” said Gomez. “What we ultimately delivered were effective materials that were easier to read and had a better flow, while also meeting critical compliance regulations.”

Dell and Con-way join the growing list of HighRoads customers to be recognized for benefits management innovation, vision and successes. Other HighRoads customers to receive past industry awards for their use of innovative benefits management technology include: AT&T, Boeing, NEEBco, Pitney Bowes, and Staples.

HighRoads was also recognized in this year’s CDHC Solutions “Solutions Superstars 2012” awards program as the “Most Effective Solution Provider,” for its smart phone app that allows employers to provide legally-compliant SBC materials to plan participants on a mobile device.

“We are pleased to see Dell and Con-way recognized for their significant achievements,” said Michael Byers, CEO, HighRoads. “Technology is changing the way organizations are able to more quickly respond to increasing, yet critical, requirements around benefits management and compliant communication. At HighRoads we have developed proven solutions and processes to make the most of technology to deliver significant improvements in the areas of cost control and participant empowerment, while assuring ACA compliance.”
