Award-Winning Sunburst Visual Media Brings New Content to Learn360 in Fall 2012

Addition of 32 new health education clips will have timely focus in 21st century classrooms

WOODBURY, N.Y.--()--Learn360, an interactive media-on-demand service for the K-12 education market, announces new content titles from Sunburst Visual Media available this fall in the U.S. and Canada in its online multimedia and digital content library. Since January 2010, Sunburst’s award-winning videos and resources have been exclusive to Learn360.

Sunburst, one of the top producers of guidance and health educational video content for the K-12 market, has produced award-winning, highly acclaimed and recognizable video content since 1972. They also provide accompanying teacher resources to help educators with tough-to-teach topics, and this fall, Learn360 will add 32 new video clips discussing special needs, cyber bullying, digital and cyber safety, peer pressure, time management and stress.

“Education in the 21st century requires more than just your average core curriculum,” said Ed Murphy, vice president of business development at Learn360. “By educating students on topics like bullying, obesity, internet safety and stress, schools today can better prepare them for situations both at school, home and while out and about. The Sunburst content featured on Learn360 has been highly effective in instructing and engaging students on these valuable topics, and we look forward to what the new content will offer to our students and our educators.”

Additionally, Sunburst content covers core curriculum subjects such as science, social studies and art. It also includes a variety of professional development resources. Its more than 3,400 titles are available only as digital classroom videos to Learn360 subscribers. These videos can be streamed, edited and downloaded to provide educators several options to meet their needs.

“For the release of this new content, we focused on the subject areas deemed most important in education today,” said Tony Mazzarella, president at Mazzarella Media and producer at Sunburst Visual Media. “Within the topics of special needs, science and technology and health and guidance, we found a need for more information on subjects like peer pressure, cyber bullying and digital and cyber safety. These new clips will aid teachers in today’s classrooms and be an important addition to the already extensive Learn360 library.”

In addition to Sunburst Visual Media, Learn360 provides customers with thousands of digital video titles, images, articles, audio files and podcasts. These trusted resources are provided by top educational publishers such as BBC Motion Gallery, Encyclopedia Britannica, A&E Television Networks (which include A&E, History and Bio) and National Geographic, among others.
