Kimpton’s Hotel Monaco Denver Unleashes Its Latest Urban Adventure with an Entirely Renovated Hotel

DENVER--()--Recently one of Travel + Leisure’s 500 World’s Best Hotels 2012 and U.S. News and World Report’s 2012 Best Hotels in Denver, Kimpton’s Hotel Monaco Denver unleashes its newest urban adventure today with the unveiling of its renovated lobby and meeting spaces. The new design pairs Western influences with Denver’s bustling city charm and is the final step in the hotel’s complete renovation. In 2011, the hotel’s 189 guestrooms were redesigned and in 2010, its award-winning restaurant, Panzano, was remodeled.

“Since opening in 1998, Hotel Monaco Denver has been an award-winning and popular downtown Denver destination for guests throughout the world,” said Von DeLuna, general manager of Hotel Monaco Denver. “With the conclusion of our multi-year renovation, we look forward to offering guests an entirely remodeled and refurbished product that they will enjoy for many years to come.”

Renowned interior designer Susan Caruso, who designed the renovated guestrooms, was tasked with overhauling the hotel’s famous lobby and meeting spaces. Her theme, “Rugged Cowboy Meets City Slicker,” drew inspiration from the hotel’s location, situated in the historic center of a modern city.

The lobby boasts bronze, iron and rustic metal fixtures that mix classic styles with modern cut globes. Guests will find a combination of dark wood furnishings, comfortable seating, and locally themed artwork, commissioned to complement the existing decorative ceiling, a popular attraction in Denver that was not altered during the renovation.

Downstairs in the meeting spaces, the lush carpeting carries guests toward a pair of backlit photographs flanking the foyer and depicting Denver during a bygone era. The ballroom and meeting rooms are updated with glowing copper and cream walls, graceful sconces and silky fabric drum pendants. The refurbished Wine Cellar features modern fixtures and fabrics as well as a stacked stone wine display and exposed brick walls.

Hotel Monaco Denver is a boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Denver within walking distance of Larimer Square, 16th Street Mall, Colorado Convention Center as well as sporting complexes, dining and nightlife. This full-service hotel offers a myriad of personal touches such as a pet-friendly environment, hosted evening wine hour and a goldfish for every guestroom upon request.
