XAP Corporation Names Peter Knepper as Chief Executive Officer

CULVER CITY, Calif.--()--XAP Corporation (XAP) has announced that Peter B. Knepper has been appointed Chief Executive Officer, assuming responsibility for day-to-day functions and the strategic growth of the company. Mr. Knepper has been serving XAP as Interim Chief Executive Officer since September 2011. Mr. Knepper will report to the company’s Executive Committee.

Mr. Knepper is a seasoned executive who brings to XAP deep functional and strategic planning expertise with several major corporations, including global technology companies. Mr. Knepper has advised and held senior management positions with International Rectifier Corporation, MDI, Inc., and Key3Media Group, Inc., among others. He also served for ten years as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ticketmaster Group, Inc., where he played a key role in the development and launch of Ticketmaster Online. Additionally, he had a significant role in completing the acquisition of Ticketmaster Group by Interactive Corporation (IAC), formerly USA Networks, Inc.
