Stream Energy Ranks As 19th Largest Private Company in Dallas

New Ranking Demonstrates Company Growth Despite a Sluggish National Economy

DALLAS--()--Stream Energy, the global leader of energy direct selling companies, announced today that for the first time it finished among the top 20 private companies in Dallas, according to a recent report by the Dallas Business Journal.

Stream Energy’s ranking in the 19th spot is a move up for the firm of five places from last year’s achievement (#24). Other private firms included within the area’s largest private companies included Neiman Marcus, 7-Eleven and Mary Kay.

This latest recognition of Stream Energy’s continuing rise is even more impressive when the challenging national economy is considered. Though many other companies are struggling in the recent downturn, Stream Energy and its marketing arm, Ignite, are generating groundbreaking growth and accompanying financial success.

“While Stream Energy has emerged as a leader within the energy sector, today’s announcement attests to our continuing expansion and business competitiveness,” said Stream Energy Chairman Rob Snyder. “We feel that our solid infrastructure as well as our dedication to excellent customer service has catalyzed our position as the American leader of energy network marketing.”

Dallas-based Stream Energy is a retail provider of energy services in Georgia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Texas. The firm’s wholly owned subsidiary, Ignite, is among the largest network marketing companies in the world. Ignite incentivizes entrepreneurs to explain the advantages of energy deregulation directly to consumers and has precipitated a paradigm shift in the manner by which energy companies in deregulated markets attract new customers.

About Stream Energy

Since Rob Snyder, Pierre Koshakji and Stream Energy secured a Texas retail electric provider license in early 2005, the privately held company has become the longest-tenured network marketing energy company and one of the fastest-growing companies in American business history. The company expanded from an initial Texas operational base into the Georgia natural gas market in 2008; the Pennsylvania electricity market in 2010; and the Maryland electricity market in 2011. Stream Energy provides a full-service approach to customer relationships, supported by the firm’s network marketing arm, Ignite. Stream Energy has won Awards of Excellence from the prestigious Platts Global Energy Awards, and Ignite is consistently ranked among the top direct selling companies in the world.
