CathoNet Announces Accounting C4 – Cloud Computing Collaborative Community

NASHUA, N.H.--()--CathoNet, Inc., a Right Networks Group Company, announces the upcoming Accounting C4 – Cloud Computing Collaborative Community to be held September 18-20, 2011 at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel, Boston, Massachusetts. Hosted by Right Networks®, the C4 event is primarily focused on bringing all-sized accounting firms and their clients to the cloud to allow integration with hosted or SaaS business applications that best fit their needs. Of particular interest to the Catholic Church Community however, is the opportunity for both laymen and clergy to learn how to bring the accountancy of their own Parishes and Dioceses online for much improved efficiency, transparency, accountability, and reporting. Training and presentation tracks will be provided on CathoNet’s ManageMyParish® and ManageMyDiocese® cloud-based accounting and data management systems, as will opportunities for networking.

The Boston-based Accounting C4 features Keynote Speaker economist, Fortune columnist, and humorist Ben Stein. Mr. Stein has been a trial lawyer, poverty lawyer, university teacher, a speech writer and economic advisor to Presidents Nixon and Ford, a Wall Street Journal columnist, a novelist, screen writer, TV writer, syndicated columnist, writer of nonfiction books about culture and finance, and expert witness in complex securities law cases. There is no doubt attendees are sure to be subjected to something insightful and humorous that all will enjoy.

Four additional speakers will also share their insights and wisdom with conference attendees. Keynote Speaker Jennifer Katrulya, CPA of Business Management Resource Group, LLC will present “Implementing the Cloud in the Trenches.” Gregory LaFollette, CPA.CITP, Senior Manager of Tax and Technology Consulting for Eide Bailly, LLP and Executive Editor of TheTechGap.com will co-host (with Jennifer Katrulya) the closing keynote “How to Get Started Using the Cloud.” M. Darren Root, CPA.CITP, Executive Editor, THE CPA TECHNOLOGY ADVISOR MAGAZINE; PRESIDENT, ROOT & ASSOCIATES LLC; CEO, ROOTWORKS LLC will present “The Next Generation Accounting Firm” and “Leading Firms Through the Next Generation of Change.” Finally Joe Woodard, President, CREATIVE FINANCIAL SOFTWARE, an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and Intuit Solution Provider will present “QuickBooks and the Cloud: Projecting the Intuit World of Tomorrow.” Additional guests include Bill Carlino, Editor-in-Chief of ACCOUNTING TODAY.

In addition to keynote presentations, and numerous accounting sessions hosted by Right Networks, CathoNet will be hosting several sessions and discussions on accounting issues and solutions of interest to accountants in general and particularly to the Church. These sessions include:

  • a one hour discussion on the power of utilizing audit software that interfaces with Intuit® QuickBooks®; this tool is of significant value in Chancery offices
  • a one hour workshop on the future of providing value-added services to the Catholic Church including electronic giving, remote deposit capture, document scanning technology, Enhanced Purchasing through data aggregation, outsourcing versus maintaining IT departments, VOIP solutions technologies, and thin-client server
