MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ImmerVision, inventor of the 360° panomorph lens and worldwide expert in immersive optical technology, announces the appointment of Joel Schaffer to the position of Product Manager - Video Surveillance Applications. Mr. Schaffer's responsibility will be to support ImmerVision Enables® partners in the development of their 360° panomorph products and solutions.
A specialist in the market, Joel brings to ImmerVision more than 20 years of experience in the security industry with a focus on video surveillance. During these years he worked in product management for numerous leading companies including Sensormatic, Tyco and Samsung/GVI. Joel holds a Bachelor of Science Engineering from the University of Illinois.
Reporting directly to the Vice President – VSA, Joel will work closely with ImmerVision’s growing global network of camera manufacturers and software developers to help them develop their own 360° solutions using panomorph lenses and ImmerVision Enables panomorph viewing functionality. For manufacturers who do not yet offer a 360° solution, the addition of Joel to the ImmerVision team provides a key liaison to aid in developing, promoting and selling their innovative panomorph based products.
