Telos Leads NETCENTS Primes For Q4 FY2010

Company’s New Awards Total More Than $129 Million For Quarter And $265 Million For Year Under Air Force Contract

ASHBURN, Va.--()--More than $129 million in new orders during the fourth quarter of the government’s 2010 fiscal year helped Telos® Corporation post a total of more than $265 million in new Network Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) awards during the year.

“Telos received 367 new orders during this past fiscal year, including several large task orders which contributed to this achievement,” said Charisse Stokes, Telos’ NETCENTS program manager. “In the fourth quarter, we received 23 percent of all NETCENTS orders representing 27 percent of the total contract value for the period. Among these were multiple orders for Information Transport System (ITS) work for the National Guard, Army and Air Force secure tactical wireless solutions, and Air Force products and services.”

Since being named a NETCENTS small business prime contractor in September 2004, Telos has provided more than $800 million in products and services to customers across the Department of Defense through the contract vehicle. This represents about 13 percent of the contract’s total value of $6.3 billion to date.

“The contract has been valuable to all eight of the NETCENTS primes, but it has been particularly valuable to the small businesses, promoting good competition and allowing small contractors to compete for and win business against much larger companies,” said Stokes. “When the government first awarded the contract, its original goal was to give 20 percent of the business to the four small-business contract holders. So far, the government has dramatically exceeded that percentage.”
