AHLEN, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LR Health & Beauty Systems GmbH, one of Germany’s leading direct sales enterprises for health and beauty products, further expanded its sales in 2010: in comparison to the previous year, net sales rose by approx. 11 percent to around EUR 230 million. Investments amounting to EURO five million were made. 90 new jobs were generated. The expansion in the German domestic market as well as abroad also makes further progress with the “Made in Germany” quality seal. The foreign markets significantly contribute to the positive overall development, with a share in sales of up to 50 percent. The extraordinary strong commitment of the numerous sales partners and the optimized marketing concept with an incentive bonus system are decisive for the repeated success story.
Dr. Jens Abend, CEO of LR Health & Beauty Systems, sums it up this way: “Also in its anniversary year LR has grown continuously and by its own efforts in terms of turnover, investments and staff. We will continue to make investments and expand our strategic position in Germany and on the international markets: sustainably, with emphasis and substantially. This will continue in 2011. For example, we will shortly launch sales in Russia this year – a market with an extremely promising future.“
With the launch of the new logistics center in May 2010, LR has already successfully set the course for growth in 32 countries. “Our company dispatches several million products and parcels per year from its headquarters to its sales partners worldwide. The logistics area comprises a total of 12,000 sqm including the previously existing areas and we are already looking for additional space,” explained Dr. Jens Abend.
Success story “Made in Germany”
In 2010, the cosmetics product range was among the most successful segments, recording growth by 131 percent compared to the previous year – mainly through the extensive relaunch and the establishment of the “Colours” and “Deluxe” beauty brands. Another significant increase in turnover was recorded in the core fragrance segment of star products: The “Bruce Willis” brand has proven a top seller and is the most successful product launch in LR’s history. In the body care segment the comprehensive alignment of the Aloe Vera core brand has been widely accepted by sales partners and customers thanks to recipe enhancements and a clear, modern design. LR has been nominated for the “Blach Report Event Award 2011“ and was among the finalists in the men’s lifestyle category of the German perfume prize “Duftstars 2011“ with its ”Bruce Willis“ fragrance.
