LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office recently awarded eJamming Inc, the pioneer in live multiplayer audio collaboration technologies, a significant addition to its intellectual property portfolio.
Patent US 7,853,342, entitled “Method and Apparatus for Remote Real Time Collaborative Acoustic Performance and Recording Thereof,” recognizes and protects eJamming’s method of sending and receiving multiple simultaneous audio streams among musicians and singers who are connected via broadband to play together from geographically dispersed locations. A software-as-a-service, eJamming AUDiiO 3.0 currently allows up to four musicians and singers to play together as if they are in the same room, each of them hearing the other players’ CD-quality audio.
“We’ve been perfecting our technology for years,” explained eJamming co-founder and CEO, Gail Kantor, “the whole time keeping our focus on the unique sonic and timing needs of the millions of music-makers in the world. With our technology,” Kantor continued, “musicians can stay home, log in, connect with players in remote locations and play, create, collaborate and record music online and in real time.”
eJamming’s other issued U.S. patents include Nos. 6,653,545 and 7,518,051. With other patents pending, eJamming Inc continues to innovate and to maintain its leadership position in the online music collaboration market.
