Airgas Announces Leadership Change in South Division

15-Year Veteran Mike Rohde to Retire; Chuck Broadus Appointed South Division President

RADNOR, Pa.--()--Airgas, Inc. (NYSE: ARG) today announced that Chuck Broadus has been named Airgas Division President – South Division effective July 1, succeeding Mike Rohde who is retiring after nearly 15 years of dedicated leadership at Airgas. Broadus will report to Airgas President and CEO Michael Molinini, and will be responsible for managing the South Division’s three regions: South, National Welders, and Mid America. The transition will begin immediately.

Mike Rohde has had a very successful career at Airgas, beginning in 1999 when he joined as President of our Southwest regional company,” Molinini said. “He also served as Senior Vice President of Distribution Operations where he was instrumental in the development, planning, and implementation of SAP within Airgas. He has successfully guided the South Division as Division President since 2011. Mike’s significant contributions over the years have made a lasting, positive impact on Airgas and we wish him all the best in his retirement.”

Broadus currently serves as President – Airgas South region, which spans Georgia, Florida, Alabama, most of Mississippi, and southern Tennessee.

Chuck has been with Airgas for a decade and has certainly carved himself a niche as a leader within the organization,” Molinini continued. “His management skills, as well as his knowledge of our customers and numerous markets in the region, make him well suited to lead the South Division. I look forward to working with Chuck in his new role, and supporting him in his continued success.”

Broadus joined Airgas in 2003 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the West region. He was named President – Airgas Specialty Products in 2006 and took over as President – Airgas Refrigerants in 2008. In 2011, he was named President – Airgas South region. Prior to joining Airgas, he was Marketing Director for Reliant Energy in Houston for three years and spent seven years in various operations and sales roles with BOC Gases. Chuck earned his bachelor of science in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and his MBA from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. From 1988 until 1993, he served five years as a U.S. Army infantry officer in the 82nd Airborne Division.
