MediaCo’s EstrellaTV Kicks Off New Broadcast Season as the Fastest-Growing Spanish-Language Network

Network Delivers Double-Digit Growth in Prime, Local Stations Post Record Ratings Across Key Markets

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MediaCo Holding Inc. (Nasdaq: MDIA), a national leader in multicultural media, announced today that EstrellaTV is delivering the biggest audience gains in the 2025–26 broadcast season among its competitors.

Through the first three weeks of the season, EstrellaTV is up +29% year over year in Adults 18–49, Monday-Sunday prime, the highest percentage increase among Spanish language competitors. By comparison, Unimás and Telemundo are each up just +3%, while Univision is down -12%. EstrellaTV’s Monday-Friday prime is even stronger, surging +45% year over year among Adults 18–49. Since December 2024, EstrellaTV has posted year-over-year prime gains six times. And the network’s October 2025 prime average is currently +34% higher than October 2024.

“EstrellaTV’s strong season reflects our team’s creativity and deep connection with Hispanic audiences,” said Brian Fisher, Chief Revenue Officer at MediaCo. “From Los Angeles to Miami, viewers are responding to authentic, high-energy programming and the results are showing up in the ratings.”

Local market highlights include:

  • Los Angeles (KRCA): More than doubled its weekday prime average vs. prior year among Adults 18–49 in September 2025.
  • Dallas (QFAA): Recorded its three highest weekday prime audiences in the past three months (July-September.)
  • New York (WASA): Closed 3Q25 with its top weekday prime, late fringe, and total day audiences of the year among Adults 25–54.
  • Miami (WGEN): Set record gains in September across multiple dayparts, including its highest monthly weekday prime audiences in the past year.

“With accelerating momentum across both national and local platforms, said Albert Rodriguez, CEO at MediaCo, EstrellaTV is cementing its position as one of the fastest-growing destinations for Hispanic entertainment in America.”
