Dickey’s Big Pink Cup Makes a Meaningful Impact for First Responders During Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Every Cup Sold Helps Fund Lifesaving Screenings for the Heroes Who Serve Our Communities

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is once again joining the fight against breast cancer this October with the return of its popular limited-edition Big Pink Cup.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the world’s largest barbecue brand will transform its signature Big Yellow Cup into pink, offering guests the 32-ounce collectible Big Pink Cup at participating locations nationwide throughout October. A portion of the proceeds from each cup sold will be donated to The Dickey Foundation, the charitable arm of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. These funds will directly support breast cancer screenings and early detection services for first responders.

“Breast cancer has touched so many families, including our own Dickey’s family of guests, pit masters, and franchisees,” said Laura Rea Dickey, CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “With the Big Pink Cup, we get to bring communities together over barbecue while helping fund lifesaving mammograms and screenings for the first responders who protect and serve us daily. This is one of the most meaningful initiatives we take on each year.”

The Dickey Foundation provides grants for safety equipment, training, and support programs for first responders across the country. During October, the Foundation will extend its reach by helping fund early detection and treatment services for breast cancer, a disease that impacts thousands of women and men each year.

“Our first responders run toward danger without hesitation, and it’s important that they have access to the screenings and healthcare they need,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., CEO of Dickey’s Capital Group. “The Big Pink Cup allows our guests to play an active role in making that possible. Together, we can raise awareness, fund critical services, and make a lasting difference.”

Guests can purchase the limited-edition Big Pink Cup at participating Dickey’s locations all October long while supplies last. Each purchase supports local first responders while honoring the fight against breast cancer.
