IRVINE, Calif.--()--JWilliams Staffing (JWS), the nation’s largest real estate recruitment agency, has announced the celebration of its 20th anniversary, a significant corporate milestone that encompasses the creation of more than 22,000 successful careers in real estate. Since its inception, the firm has served over 9,000 new home builders, property management companies, and their industry partners by providing innovative staffing solutions in the real estate industry.

Founded in 2004, JWilliams Staffing began as a team of one and quickly grew to become the nation’s leading recruitment and staffing agency for the real estate industry. Williams, who always held an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for investing in others, remarked on the firm’s humble early beginnings. “I moved to California as a single mom with two children and took a giant leap of faith in starting my company. I devoted half of my garage to serve as my office, and JWilliams Staffing was born.” Williams credits her children – who each played a role in the company’s development – as her biggest supporters. “My eldest son, Michael, created the budget and cash flow projections to demonstrate the feasibility of the business. My youngest, (born in California) David, helped me pack envelopes. It was a team effort.”

Williams’ daughter, Jessica Littrell, who hailed from New Home Sales Services after holding several key roles including OC Regional Manager, Southern California Regional Manager, and Senior VP, had a particularly significant impact on the firm’s success. She joined JWilliams Staffing during a grim era – the Great Recession of 2008 – where she held the position of Senior Vice President/National Trainer. Together with her mother, Littrell played an integral role in helping the homebuilding industry get back to work. The duo led a series of resume and interview workshops designed to help executives – who were out of work for the first time in decades – get back on their feet. During the COVID-19 shutdown in 2020, Littrell also served as Chief Policy Navigator and led the rehiring process following the pandemic.

Like Williams, Littrell was deeply involved in the industry, constantly volunteering for various councils and committees. “You could always count on Jessica to raise her hand, help others, and find creative solutions to address the most complex challenges and obstacles,” said Williams. “Her hard work, energy and enthusiasm were recognized by our industry peers, associates, and clients – which ultimately helped shape our company. Although Jessica shifted her focus to spend more time with family, her contributions continue to make an impact. In fact, we’re thrilled that she still serves as a consultant and the broker of record for JWilliams Staffing Nevada, Arizona, and Idaho Regions.”

As Williams continued to grow JWilliams Staffing, she focused her efforts on supporting the building industry as it recovered from the Great Recession in 2010. She founded several initiatives, including “Connect,” a group designed to help executives rebuild their network. She also partnered with Jeanne Pearl, former VP of JWilliams Staffing, Northern California Division, to assist Littrell and Williams in opening and staffing the Texas market, another strategic pathway out of the Great Recession. “Jessica and I would fly in every month and hold interviews and training courses at the Greater Houston Builders Association,” said Williams. “On some trips, we’d have 40 to 50 new hires, which was incredibly uplifting ­– especially after going through such a challenging period.” Williams also collaborated with the California Building Industry Association (CBIA) to launch and share comprehensive salary surveys that are still referenced today.

Helping individuals find their path to success comes naturally to Williams, and that commitment extends to helping her own team members. “JoAnne has always focused on the personal growth and fulfillment of her employees, which makes JWS such a rewarding place to work,” said Joanna Rojas, EVP of Finance and Operations for JWilliams Staffing. “As a highly successful female business owner and entrepreneur, JoAnne has inspired countless women over the past two decades – including me.”

Williams is also a recipient of the Southern California BJ Stewart Women’s Achievement Award for her leadership, involvement, and dedication to the building industry.
